Reflection

In today’s Gospel Jesus takes three disciples up a high mountain to pray. There, He is transformed; Moses and Elijah appear with Him. The voice of the Father is heard declaring Jesus to be His Son and that we are to “Listen to Him.” The message of the Gospel is clear; we need to open our minds and hearts to the possibility of God’s voice. Open your mind and heart to His presence.

ShareLife Sunday

This weekend we kick off the 2015 ShareLife campaign, in support of all the Catholic social agencies of our archdiocese. A special second collection (the first of three) will be taken up at all the Masses. Many of you will have received a mailing at home, but there are also envelopes available at the church entrance. After all these years, we all know how important ShareLife is to those in need. God has blessed us with so much; let’s share with those who have less.

Annual Coins for Life Campaign

Here’s a great thing to do for Lent!!! Collect coins in support of Campai

gn Life Coalition so that we can help protect the lives of the unborn. Please pick up a collection box this weekend and bring in the coins on the Sunday after Easter. Thank you.

Lenten Spiritual Study

Join the prayer group every Wednesday of Lent at 8:00 pm in the parish hall (beginning February 25) for a time of spiritual growth using inspirational videos with Fr. Robert Barron.  This is a wonderful way to deepen your faith during this season of Lent.  Everyone is welcome.

First Friday and First Saturday

This Friday, March 6th, there will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, ending with Benediction. (Confessions will be heard at 8:00 am.) On Saturday, March 7th, after the 7:30 am Mass, there will be a Holy hour of Adoration with Meditated Rosary.

Stations of the Cross

The Stations of the Cross will be held every Friday of Lent, usually at 7:30 pm, (this Friday they will be at 8:15 pm) in the church and will be celebrated bilingually (English and Italian). Come join us for this beautiful devotion.

We have officially launched the Archdiocesan Capital Campaign for our parish and have already raised $542,000 toward our goal of $835.000.  We need everyone’s participation in this historic endeavour.  Please give some thought and prayerful consideration to how much you can contribute to this worthy cause that will greatly benefit the people of St. David’s and of the whole archdiocese.  Thank’you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
